Thankyou David. This would be a great benefit to us. I use to use a quiz manager with our old service which updated quizzes online and matched – those available in our collection, and those not in our collection so we could then purchase them.

You certainly can order more than 200 quizzes at the discounted price. Just add the quantity of quizzes you want on the order form.

Assuming the article you are referring to is the 100 Quiz Voucher promotion. Good, but can I order quizzes between 100 and 200 ie 600 quizzes at $4 each?

Anne,

I have emailed you direct with information.

Basically you can use AR Bookguide to match the materials in your library to the quizzes that are availalbe in Australia. Within this system you can search the AR Quizzes by including your library catalogue data. This will allow you to see quizzes for which you don’t own the book and thus potentially buy the book. These searches can be performed by ATOS Book Level, student interest level, author or series.

Dear AR,

We would like to know about matching the collection to the AR software. We would also like to view the master list of what is on the AR list, as we are discovering that not all books in the collection have been identified. We could also then identify books that are on the list that we could purchase to support the AR program.

Gill,

The 500 Teacher Made Quiz cap was established by Renaissance Learning very early in the development of Accelerated Reader. Over the proceeding 20+ years that AR has been used around the world there has been only a few quests for the cap to be lifted. At this point in time the 500 Quiz Ca is still in place.

I have put a case to RL that the cap should be lifted. Effectively the request is being considered at the moment.

The answer wont come tomorrow, but the case is progressing along the development process for consideration.

I fully support the request to be able to add more than 500 teacher/student written quizzes. At Central Coast Grammar School the Library Staff have written many quizzes over the years and having ‘maxed-out’ at 500, then have to delete quizzes in order to add quizzes for new, popular books that are not available from AR. The ability to add more than the allotted 500 would be the obvious answer. Thanks for your consideration to this request.
